This is a heater defroster vent valve for 1948 to 1950 Dodge Trucks. This vent mounts to the heater and allows the heat to be directed either into the cab or up to the defroster vents. This vent is part of either the mid grade heater setup (with both the Heater and Defrost knob) or the high end fresh air heater setup (With the Heater, Defrost, Air, and Temp knob) so it is operated by the Defrost knob cable, other versions of this vent must be operated by hand. This valve is for the B Series 2wd Dodge trucks from 1948 to 1950 on all the different models made, from the 1/2 ton B-1-B pickup to the 4 ton B-2-YA, and all styles of Dodge truck for those years, Pickups, Panels, COEs, Stake trucks, Cab and Chassis, etc. This part mounts to Model 61 and Model 62 heaters. It should also fit Model 65 heaters just fine. Add this to your truck and experience modern comforts in your classic truck!
