Up for auction is a 1981 Suzuki GS650L. This time capsule has only 2,950 miles and appears to have been stored inside since 1982. When I got the bike, it had a 1981 South Dakota license plate and a 1982 base entry sticker from Ellsworth Air Force Base in South Dakota. The bike is in original condition with all the original parts except the hand rail behind the seat and the mirrors. The hand rail was removed when the original owner added a giant sissy bar. I removed it and have purchased an original hand rail off ebay. The hand rail has been received and was installed after the pictures were taken. It appears the original Dunlop Qualifier tires are still on the bike. The tires have the raised white letters and are not dry rotted. All the chrome is in good condition. The tank and side covers are in good condition. There is 1 minor dent on the tank but it is to small to show up in the pictures and can only be seen from a certain angle. The paint is good with the exception of one spot below the gas cap and a few minor nicks. It looks like someone spilled a drop of solvent on the tank and didn't wash it off. The seat is great with no tears or rips. All the lights and horn work. The front and rear disc brakes have been flushed and bled and work fine. The shaft drive has been flushed and new gear oil added. The bike was stored properly with the gas removed. After adding a new battery and adding new gas, the bike started right up. I've ridden the bike about 80 miles and it runs great. No smoke or weird noises. The clutch works properly. No oil drips or seepage.

Bottom line is this bike is a time capsule that does not need to be restored and would make a great bike to add to a collection, If there are any questions, please ask. Thanks for looking.

For an additional charge of $1.00 per mile, one way, I will deliver the bike to your driveway.
