For sale is my 1969 mustang convertible. I purchased it from the original
owners/family.........This car was originally from California but spent a few
decades here on the east coast. The torque boxes and frame rails are very solid
for the cars age.......The doors open and close with no issues and the gaps are
nice from top to bottom......this mustang has been off the road since 1986, it
had a 1980's restoration, which wasn't bad because it was a pretty sound car but
years of improper storage brings us to what you see today. ............this is a
very good entry level mustang convertible considering most in this price range
do not run or are ready to crack in half. I wouldn't think twice about giving it
a mechanical once over and drive it while I restore it.

What the car needs is
obviously a new top and some floor pan work from sitting and there is a soft
spot on the front drivers frame rail.......the rockers were repaired when the
car was redone in the 80's, I found some pictures in the glove compartment of
the car in smithtown auto body where you can see some of the repair work having
been done.
The dash has never been messed with, the dash pad is crack free,
the chrome on the a/c vents and the original radio bezel and knobs is still
shiny. All the electrical and gauges work as does the power top. There are even
some "FORD" script headlights still on the car. When I got the car it didn't run and had some damage to the passenger door and drivers side quarter panel I replaced the door with a brand new reproduction and got the car running and lot driving. The car came pretty well optioned, it has a 302 two barrel, automatic, power steering, power disc brakes, power top, air conditioning, map light, and parking brake warning light. I really like this car.......I don't need to sell it..........it's still so original, it's never been taken apart or been in a collision, the body lines match up.........it's a real solid platform with all its original parts.......I have a reasonable reserve set.......if it doesn't sell I'll build the car like the convertible I already have.......if you want a solid original start, this is it. I have a ton of pictures and can take pics of any areas of the car that may concern you. The last pic of the yellow convertible
is an example of what you can turn this car into........stock or modified, 69 Convertibles are cool.

Car is sold as is, ask any and all questions before auctions end. I reserve the right to end the
auction early as the car is for sale locally.

Good Luck!
