Assembled with the help of avid record collectors, this book is the most detailed guide to US psychedelia, garage and hippie rock of the 1964-75 era. It provides an A-Z listing of relevant artists with discographies, personnel details, band histories, comment on the music and, in some cases, includes the personal recollections of band members. Individual entries also include details of reissues, appearances on retrospective compilations and chart entries. There is also a rarity scale for albums. At the end of the book there is a list of all compilations referred to with label details and year of release as well as discographies for three leading sixties reissue labels: Sundazed, Gear Fab and Akarma. The book is profusely illustrated with 12 pages of colour illustrations.

Grades are "Cover/Record"

Sealed : unopened, still in shrink.

M  : new, unplayed and is in perfect condition.

M- : the record might have been played but it has no defects other than pressing stains that do not affect sound quality.

EX : only slight signs of wear; very clean, only light surface marks which will not distract significantly from the sound. Cover also has only slight wear, and is still in nice collectible condition.

VG+ : played often with moderate surface wear and some moderate noise - still plays well. Cover may have medium overall wear or some ring wear.

VG : overall wear, but no skips of serious defects, more noisy sound during quiet passages. Cover is well worn, usually with considerable ring wear.

 

INFO SEALED: Lp's & CD's will be opened & checked if desired after payment is received. I can't offer that recourse if you want the Lp sent sealed.
