Mainzer Cats

Unsigned Eugen Hurtung. Sometimes he is referenced as Eugen Hartung When you see a little heart with a loop on the edge of the card, that is his signature.

Alfred Mainzer Company has published these cards for a long time in several countries. They were first published by Max Kunzli. .

As dignified as cats attempt to be, Artist Hurtung went in a completely different direction; almost always there is some type of chaos going on on the card. Bright colors and a great attention to detail add to the delight; always looks at the card closely to see what you might be missing. This one was printed in Switzerland and is card 4755. It has a deckled edge. Not postally used/completed. Not mailed.

Overall grade: excellent

I try to make the scan sufficiently sharp enough for you to judge the condition of the card. I strongly believe in allowing you to clearly see what you would be buying—no fuzzy digital photos here. I also try to note obvious defects in my description. If you have any questions, fire away. I’m always happy to respond to any email questions as soon as possible.

All postcards are vintage, unless otherwise clearly stated.

Following the auction, I will send you an invoice. I’m usually pretty prompt.

I try to get to the post office at least twice a week, sometimes more. I always get there on a Monday, so if you’re interested in rapid delivery, you’re best bet is a Paypal payment by midday on a Sunday.

Shipping always combined for multiple purchases. Pay by PAYPAL. International bids are very welcome.
