This vintage and sought after Akai CD-D1 is in a very nice condition. CD tray door opens to accept CD then spins once 

Play is depressed. However CD does not play music. Seems as if track head is either stuck and or head motor is bad. CD door mechanism opens automatically when eject is pressed and cd's can be removed. 

The steel and aluminum outer case is in beautiful condition considering its vintage. Photos attached show all sides of this unit. Some minor scratches exist on the top cover from other stacked components when it was in its installed position on a rack. Buttons and dials all move freely without resistance when depressed or turned. LED display and lighting seem to function without any dimming or discoloration. Power cord in good condition.
