  • Above values are calculated under test condition. Values of Durability and Disc life are subject to change by continuous use under low temperature (generally less than 150 degrees Celsius). Values of Anti-Noise and Anti-Dust are calculated after a thermal history goes (not under brand-new condition).
All about brake dust

Please take a look at the comparison images of the two wheels. Clearly, the car using the M-type has little brake dust on the wheel.
The benefit of the M-type is not just being freed from constant cleaning of the wheels. Most brake dust is not from brake pad shavings, but shavings from the brake disc. The M-type brake pads have low brake dust, meaning the pads are shaving off less from the brake disc. This leads to the prolonging of the life of the brake discs. The characteristic of metal shavings (dust) is its vulnerability to humidity; humidity corrodes the metal shavings. So without the proper maintenance, the metal shavings can cause the wheels to corrode.

With the M-type brake pads with minimal brake dust, there is no need for the frequent cleaning of wheels.

It represents the performance/efficiency difference by the deceleration G.
The friction co-efficiency is measured at 0.3G (light braking), 0.55G (strong braking) and 0.8G (very strong braking) at the fixed speed of 50km/h and 150km/h respectably. The data shown in the chart shows the friction co-efficiency variation range at 0.3G against 0.55G and at 0.8G against 0.55G. 100% is ideal. The M type gives the same feeling all the time, even when the brake pedal is pressed strongly. With OEM products, the majority of people feel optimum usage only during light braking.

They were tested at the speed of 100 km/h with a fixed pad temperature of 200°C, and with changes in deceleration G. The change of efficacy was evaluated when they were brand new and after the fourth fading test. 100 % is ideal. When the value worsened extremely, it meant their performance was getting lower, for example, the friction co-efficiency drops between first and second session/practice of the circuit track driving. OEM products and materials that company D provided cannot be as effective as its original performance once they got to a high temperature.

Decelerating G= 0.5G, fixed temperature=200°C. The friction co-efficiency is measured at different speeds. When the friction co-efficiency varied, the performance would be different at low speed or high speed, and the pads then become hard to deal with. Obviously it has to work not only at low speed but most importantly while braking from a high speed. On the other hand, if it works too efficiently at a high speed, it is extremely dangerous because the tires will lock up too easily. The M type tends to be more stable than OEM products or after-market products.deceleration (G) 1G means a braking deceleration of about 35 km/h per second. (1G braking force is very strong.)

The friction co-efficiency is measured at different temperatures with the fixed speed of 100Km/h and the fixed deceleration 0.5G. 
The M type is especially effective on ordinary roads where the brake disc temperature is around 50-150°C, and is designed to perform with maximum potential at the winding road and emergency stops on the highway where the temperature possibly comes up to 300°C-400°C. OEM products work efficiently at general temperatures, but they do not work sufficiently at high temperatures, fading starts at over 300°C, and they do not work well at all.

At first glance, the statement above may seem contradicting. DIXCEL is able to research & develop such a product because we are an aftermarket brake manufacturer. DIXCEL is not a brake manufacturer that only specializes in motorsports applications. Our research & development goes beyond motorsports, to ordinary street-use sedans, mini-vans, and luxury cars.

The consumers who drive normally wanted a brake pad that has low brake dust without sacrificing braking power.

DIXCEL is involved in motorsports to constantly improve and develop our products. Motorsports allows us to test our products in extreme conditions which cannot be achieved in normal uses.

After a careful material selection process, the testing of the M-type brake pad was done using heavy cars like the Lexus LS600h and Toyota Alphard. 
The chosen materials passed repeated extreme brake tests from speeds of 180km/h. The M-type brake pads are not just a low dust brake pad, brake pads that offers improved braking performance.

"Clean reliable stopping power"

This was the main concept when the M-type was being developed; low dust and improved brake power.

  • The repeated braking tests from 180km/h were done on a race circuit.
  • The M-type is NOT designed for circuit-use. Use on race circuits can result in increased wear and decrease in performance.
  • The Z and R series brake pads are recommended for circuit-use brake pads.

Absolutely no return or exchange after 14 days, be sure to inspect your package when it arrives. We must be notifying within 10 days of receipt if an item is damaged or not delivered. After 10 days we will only accept returns due to fitment or defects issues.

Non receipt:
Must be notifying within 10 days. It is buyer responsible to track packages and ensure safe arrival. If package show delivered but buyer had not received we will contact  EMS and wait for investigation. If buyer provided incorrect address, we will try to contact carrier but not guarantee replacement
Received Wrong product:
Must notify within 10 days. Please check to see if product looks similar to pictures showed on ebay then contact us either by phone of by email. We need to get the tracking/invoice # off the box so be sure not to throw away any packaging materials. We will send you return instructions and replace the correct part for you.
Bad address:
If shows delivered we will try to retrieve package no guarantee. If package is return due to bad address buyer is responsible for shipping charges again.
Defects and Fitments issues:
Notify within 10 days. We recommend profession help if you encounter problems. Please check auction description to match your vehicle year make and model. We may ask to provide pictures to show issues then determine if we will accept the return .
