I love mourning jewellery.
I love the artistry of it, the hidden meanings, and the lengths that the Victorians took every aspect of death, burial and mourning too.
This beautiful example is made from yellow metal with a central glass covered panel that contains a lock of hair twisted into an ornate design.
It really is a lovely item.
The pin section has a charming twist decoration and the frame around the glass panel is highly decorative.
The hair itself is formed into a fancy pattern and is highlighted with gold wire and a tiny pearl.

It is a really striking piece.

It is a very nice size piece measuring approximately 6.7cms memorial section 1.8cms by 1.4cms wide
CONDITION
It is an antique peace but it is in very good condition.
There are a few minor marks on the reverse.
