This optical interference coating is a very sharp Long Pass filter capable of isolating the entire visible portion of the spectrum, from the UVA, UVB, and UVC as well as Deep Blue. This is an ideal emission filter for viewing deep blue emission, when excited with a UV light source. It can be used with many fluoroscopes that are excited in the 240 to 400 nm spectral range.
The coating achieves 99% reflection of the UVA and Beep Blue to 415 nm region and OD 5+ atttenuation of the UVB and UVC, while transmitting in excess of 90% of the visible.
A very efficient UV fluorescence analyser could be made with this filter and one of the several BP filters, with a pen ray or HBO lamp. Detection would be by PMT or similar detector.
