The Yashicaflex S was released in 1954. It was remarkable at the time as being the first Japanese camera with a built-in selenium meter. It has semi-automatic winding, a Yashimar f/3.5 80mm lens in a Copal shutter B 1 to 1/300th shutter and with a self-timer.
This is a particularly nice example with no dents or dings. The leatherette is fully intact with no tears or shrinkage. The lenses do not appear to have scratches, marks, or fungus. The focus is smooth as is the operation of the waist level finder and pop-up magnifier. The shutter is firing nicely on all speeds and 'sounds' correct. It's exceedingly rare to find selenium cells for the meter still operating after 60 years BUT THIS ONE WORKS!
