A Newly Offered Precision Interference Filter for made specifically for ebay Astronomers, that selectively transmits the Oxygen III emission of Galaxies. This filter is much narrower than those produced for Lumicon and Thousand Oaks and others. This filter has had significant development to produce excellent transmission of the Oxygen lines at 500.4 nm, while attenuating most of the background light from other sources, including the NIR region that is detected by film, and more significantly by CCD cameras. This is a relatively narrow pass band nebula filter, with a bandwidth of 2nm as compared to a more typical 10nm. The filter is specifically biased to the red side of the emission to allow the fastest possible lens. The filter prior to mounting has an outer dimension of 47 mm. As supplied it is already mounted in a standard 48 mm (or 2") eye piece threaded ring.
