The Altar piece

This is a lovely English Oak wood altar piece made from a slice of Cornish Oak wood with a seven walled labyrinth pyrographed (burnt) onto it. It measures about 3 inches in diameter.

This is a great addition to any altar or to carry round with you.

The labyrinth is the same design as that carved on to rocks at Tintagel in Cornwall, perhaps dating back to the bronze age.

The labyrinth design is often used for meditation - use your finger or a pointer to slowly trace the path of the labyrinth into the centre and out again.

I might be able to make this design in a different wood, or with a different symbol - please contact me for details.

OAK

oak Respected wherever it grows, the Oak has strong protective powers and brings good fortune, health and prosperity. The spirit of the Oak is a guardian and liberator, and Oak is often used in spells.

Greenwoman Crafts

Greenwoman Crafts is a small Pagan craft business owned by a practicing witch of many years' experience. I try to source my materials ethically and sustainably. Wood for most of the items comes from found wood - prunings, storm-damage, dead-fall, drift wood etc. I have many types of wood in my workshop, if you desire a similar design in a different wood, I might be able to help, and would be able to list it on ebay for you.

I make every attempt to recycle and reuse packaging and posting materials, although sometimes this is not possible.

All items are new and unused, I prefer not to charge magical items, leaving that for their new owners to do. All items are crafted with joy and love.
