An original Braun DN 30 digital alarm clock, designed by Dietrich Lubs in 1980
One of Braun's early, digital clocks, with a stylish fluorescent display and an elegant design with the controls at the rear.
The DN 30 (Braun product number 4832), was co-designed by Dietrich Lubs and the firm's Design Director Dieter Rams. It was released two years after the pair collaborated again on the iconic DW 30 digital wristwatch.
The clock is in very good vintage used condition. The display is bright, the clock keeps excellent time and the alarm function with 9 minute snooze works. Cosmetically it is very good indeed with only very minor surface signs of use consistent with decades of careful use – there are no deep scratches, cracks or signs of repair. The dimensions are 104 mm (w) x 103 (d) x 53 (h).
Please note that the item was tested on the European mains electricity supply – others please check with an electrician local to you to confirm functionality. The label states that the clock uses 220 V ~ /50 Hz. All vintage electrical items should be safety checked before use. Needless to say, being a vintage item, its longevity as an accurate or functioning timepiece can't be guaranteed.

Payment and Postage
Paypal is accepted and I do not add a surcharge to cover their fees. UK buyers only may also pay by cheque or postal order. If it's a cheque, please allow 7 to 10 days for it to clear. In exceptional circumstances it may be possible for overseas customers to pay by another means such as bank transfer in GBP£ by prior arrangement.
All buyers please make contact within 3 days of auction. Payment is required within 7 days.
It has become necessary to offer only tracked forms of postage for high value items. This is because of the increasing number of instances of attempted fraud and I'm acting on unequivocal advice that I have received from eBay and Paypal. Please be assured that the postage options shown are calculated at cost, with a minimal handling fee to cover packaging materials for larger items. Non-payment
All non-paying bidders are, without exception, reported to eBay. This is not for the sake of being vindictive, but because eBay charges retrospective fees calculated on the actual sale price of items and this money needs to be retrieved. It's hard enough to make ends meet on here as it is! Thank you for your understanding. Please refer to eBay's policy on non-payment for more information, including its ramifications for the bidder.
Condition of items
Please note that, unless clearly stated otherwise, my listings are for vintage/antique items and therefore, by definition, are not going to be in the same condition you would expect from a brand new item. Please be assured that I always endeavour to offer the most accurate description possible of the item's condition and take multiple illustrative photographs.
Vintage electrical items
Vintage electrical items are always sold in their original or as found condition and are intended as decorative items only. This means they are sold without any electrical or safety guarantee. If the buyer chooses to use a vintage electrical item post-sale, it is sold with the strict understanding that the buyer agrees to have the item fully safety-checked by a qualified electrician first.
Returns
Returns are possible, if reported within 7 days and by prior arrangement, if a mistake has been made in the listing and the item is not as described, but for no other reason. I'm afraid that straightforward buyer's remorse does not qualify and that all return costs must be borne by the buyer.
