ARTIST INFO:

DOT DOT DOT was born in Oslo, Norway. He first started as a Street Artist in 1997. Operating under several different pseudonyms over the following years, he decided to step into a more figurative and conceptual mode of art. Around 2007 he started to do stencil art, but continued to do graffiti. He was noticed a few years later for painting a rat in the town of Sandvika, just outside Oslo.

Before the release of the book Street Art Norway Vol. 2, he appeared on the TV channel NRK talking a little about himself and Urban Art.

He participated at Land Art in October 2012, curated by Norwegian artists Mari Meen Halsøy and Kine Lillestrøm, just outside Oslo. In October 2012; DOT DOT DOT together with ARD (All Rights Destroyed) arranged an exhibition in Oslo named "the ARD*POP-UP Festival", inviting national and international artists to decorate walls in Oslo.

DOT DOT DOT's artwork is on display in several galleries. His paintings have 1970s pop art references refreshed through modern street art aesthetics. He also has a rather satirical look at art and its own self-imposed grandeur, not to mention the players within it which changed the segment into a multinational commercial space.
