RARE SARGENT 711C AUTO-SET BENCH PLANE - ONLY MADE 1922-25

• The 707, 707C and the 711C are the most collectible of the Sargent Auto-Set planes
• This 711C has 95% original Japanning with most wear on the cheeks and a chip in front
• Found with a 4-1/2 inch blade with Sargent logo without number; spare blade from a 714
• Bottom and sides have a even grey patina; deep bottom corrugations have no rust or pitting
• Cast SARGENT 711 behind knob and PAT.JAN.12.15 and MADE IN U.S.A. behind frog
• Knob and tote are solid without repairs; knob has two minor checks at base; tote horn rough
