This is a Confederate 6 pounder smoothbore solid shot made by Civil War Artillery 1862 carefully placed in a Tennessee cedar tree approximately 12 inches tall the Cedar has been stained as to add to the beauty of this piece. Very unique gift or conversation piece for the home or office.This shot is a reproduction of the original shot found at the Battle of Shiloh. At Shiloh, there were 58 cannons which were capable of firing this shot. The 6 pounder smoothbore cannon made up the bulk of Confederate artillery at Shiloh. This shot is unfired and at one time or another was discarded or dropped. The original shot was found in an area where Confederate units were at one time or another in battery. Reproductions resemble the original shot as close as possible and are carefully handcrafted. This shot has imperfections and is not perfect. This reproduction has all the imperfections as original. This piece is proudly on display at the Army War College in Pennsylvania and various other battlefields scattered around the United States.
