Prefinished Retrofit Stair Treads
Hardwood Lumber Co. retrofit stair treads have a 3/4" thick body with a 1" thick bullnose overhang. The bullnose overhang and return overhang is 1-1/4" wide. Retrofit stair treads are made to fit over your existing stairs. In most cases, you will need to cut off the overhang on your existing treads before installing new retrofit stair treads

All stair tread sizes are overall length including the return(s). Example a single return 42" stair tread will have a 40-3/4" throat size, a double return 42" stair tread will have a 39-1/2" throat size.
We can also make custom size stair treads with a custom throat. Just order the next larger size stair tread and add a message at checkout specifying the exact throat measurement that you need.
