If the book is listed as NEW, then the item has never been read and may be in the original packaging. 

Comics will come in a bagged & boarded in a protective cardboard envelope. 

Hardbacks will also be sent in a protective envelope, either in bubble wrap or cardboard depending on the size of the book. 

The price of postage will vary with each book depending on the weight and size.
