Artisan's note:  From our latest Sapphire buy!  This Sapphire is all-natural and never treated or heated to make or enhance these ideal purple & blue Sapphire colors.  Sapphires that are untreated & unheated are rare indeed ... less than 5% of all Sapphires can make this claim.  The rest of the Sapphires in the world are treated or heated in some way to turn them into a desirable color.  This one came straight from the mine in Sri Lanka with these fabulous colors already present.  The prices for our new Sri Lankan Sapphires are higher, but the quality is truly something to behold!  This is a one-only.

This Sapphire is purple and also shows bright flashes of blue under incandescent lighting.  This Sapphire shows mostly blue under fluorescent lighting and in outdoor light.  Purple appears to be the dominant color.  What YOU will see is totally dependent on the lighting or combination of lighting above the Sapphire.
