This is a 1 (one) family ownership car. The car was purchased new in 1956 in San Rafael by our Uncle. Sometime in the early 70’s the original engine gave out. My uncle took it to his local mechanic, who swapped in a 283 Short Block engine. This engine was also used for the 1958 corvettes. When my Uncle passed away in 1998, my father took ownership of the car and brought it back to Colorado. At this time he had a new, two tone, original colors paint job done on the car. It was then stored in his garage. In 2002, my father called and told me that he was giving me the car and transferred the title to my name. He keep a fill up log on the car in the time he had it, very few miles were added to the odometer.  I then began to restore the car that had basically just sat idle. A list of what I did is shown below. I have receipts backing all this work. Since this restoration, the car has been stored in my sister’s garage, under a tarp. It is started and run every few weeks to keep the seals and such fresh.
