Here on offer is what appears to be a small Japanese Snuff Box or Pill Box, made from antimony, a soft and heavy metal that often mistaken for lead.

It has a gorgeous entwined Dragon design in high relief on the lid and a leaf pattern to all the sides.

I think it may have been originally silver plated but most has been worm of the high points, but remains on the base.

The lid fits perfectly and the hinge is in full working condition.

I have seen a few larger boxes with floral patterns but never a small version with a Dragon design?

The Box measures 1.7” (4.2cm) wide, 1.25” (3.2cm) deep and 1” (2.5cm) high.

It weighs 79g.
