Wow. Fiddleback black walnut guitar set, Backs 8.3 wide at lower bout, 22 long,  sanded to approximately 0.165 thick  Sides, 32  long ,5+  wide sanded to approximately .0.125 thick

Air dried 4 years, very fine quality. I know this does look like claro or oregon walnut, but in reality this tree is eastern black walnut, so you have all the best figure and color with the slight added benefit of eastern's slower growth/denser structure and slightly glassier feel.

Wonderful, wonderful marbled color. pics are wetted with mineral spirits. Very rare find. please note that this set has several little spots in it as shown in last 2 pics that will require ca glue. These are little spots where I believe birds were pecking at the tree. There are several of these scattered on the pieces and are the source of many if not all of the blackish streaks. Combined with the deep curl and some purples and gold colors, you get an absolutely killer set.
