This auction is for a superb late fifties/early sixties British made, (etched code 1B1/3980), Brimar CV4024/12AT7/ECC81 tube/valve which has black plates and an angled rectangular getter. These have been rightly characterised as 'glorious tubes' with 'an attractive sweet warmth in their midrange and lower regions, whilst their 'top end is silky and pleasant without being rolled-off '.
Over the years I have owned a number of tube/valve amplifiers for each of which I have always purchased plenty of high quality new old stock or strong testing tubes/valves, from reputable sources, as spares.
Having managed to accumulate a large number of spare tubes/valves, the vast majority of which have not been used since being purchased, I have decided that it is probably time to have a good clear out.
Unless shown in the picture, the tube/valve will be supplied with a white box and it will be very well packaged for posting. I am also very happy to combine postage, should you wish to purchase more than one of my items.
