This is a wonderful example of a Swedish Dalarna horse, of the national symbols of Sweden.  They are produced in a small number of towns in an area of Dalarna province.  Each is hand carved and hand painted; no two are alike.  The older the horse, the more highly prized.  The label indicates that it is an older horse.  The horse is about 2.5 inches long and 3 inches high at the ears and 1 inch wide.  The older paper label on the bottom says "Akta Dala Helmslojd, Grannas A Olssons, Helmslojd, Mora Sweden".  There are 2 other lines on the label in very small type; it appears to be an address.  This is a great example of a carved horse, one of the symbols of Sweden.  It's a great look for the holidays, all read and green and white.
