Sponge filters need to be connected to an air pump (which is not supplied).

To be used with an air pump, via inlet on side of outlet tubing.

Ideal for small fry tanks, Shrimp and quarantine tanks. 

Fry and Shrimp SAFE... Fry and Shrimps will not get sucked up into these filters.

Also ideal and highly recommended as a "back-up" to your existing internal filter.

Will increase oxygen levels and flow, in your fish tank.

Provides a constant, additional food source for fry and Shrimps, who like to munch on the biofilm, which accumulates on the sponges.

a thin layer of microorganisms adhering to the surface of a structure, which may be organic or inorganic, together with the polymers that they secrete.

A GREAT TIP: Can also be attached to external filter inlet, as a pre-filter and to prevent fry and Shrimps from being sucked up into                              your external filter!! :)

Easy to maintain... Simply rinse the sponges in (used) aquarium water as part of your maintenance regime.

Central outlet column can be expanded to increase to a total height of 19 cm, to accommodate tanks of varying depths.

Easily attaches to the side of the aquarium, with enclosed suction cup.

Please note that sponge filters, and any other internal or external aquarium filter, should be allowed to mature in the tank before initial use. Please Google "aquarium nitrogen cycle" or "fish-less cycle" if you need further information.
