He has a large ushnisha protuberance on top of his head that symbolizing his high level of spiritual development. The Buddha has a peaceful countenance with downcast introspective eyes and a firm brow. His earlobes are stretched long from his youth spent as a prince wearing heavy gold earrings. He has a circular urna or third eye on his forehead. The statue is handcarved from solid Javanese river stone. A beautiful and sturdy piece.
