Beautiful White English Ironstone Oval Ewer Pitcher made by Burgess & Goddard
has the Bow & Tassel patterning and dates c. 1878
measures 5.25" t. x 3.75" w. x 3.25" d. plus S handle - the bottom has both a stamped makers name mark and embossed date mark
very nice piece in excellent condition with minimal signs of use, very tiny rough spot on thumb rest and there is a manufacturing defect on one side where the clay body was pushed in very slightly, likely from the potters finger - no chips or cracks
