For sale today the amp I have purchased directly in October 2014 from Ossie Ashen of Blockhead amps, who build this amp for Jason White of Green Day for the American Idiot tour. Put your hands on this piece of history and make it your own. I hate to sell it but I need to take care of some bills.

This is single channel amp but you can use 2 top inputs for clean tones and one bottom for all dirty tones. No effect loop on this amp. This amp sounds incredible on low volumes and also on high volumes, this amp can get very loud and out beat a lot of new 100watts amps, so its perfect for any band situations recording or play main stadium event.

The price is fixed and I will reserve to cancel this auction at any time due this amp will be listed for sale locally.

There will be no returns amp is sold as is and was just serviced this month by famous amp builder Mike Bacino who make sure all connections, grounds etc are properly connected etc.

I have maximum of 5 hours of playing in my smoke free studio on the amp since I have purchased the amp from Ossie so all the tubes are as new like I have purchased from Ossie and Mike Bacino has verified. Mike stated that 2nd and 3rd preamp tubes are very critical to the sound of the amp so make sure that you have best tubes there.

I have documented listing of this amp when I was buying this amp from Ossie and I will include it with the amp.

This is very rare opportunity to buy great amp and please believe me I had a lot of boutique amps that I have sold also on eBay, please see my feedback.

There will be NO international shipping. I will not accept International bidders.

Buyer please pay in full for the auction at the time of winning the auction.

This is what Ossie has written about this amp:

“My  name is Ossie Ashen and I own/owned Blockhead Amps in case you have not heard of was created in 1998. I currently am part owner of 3Monkeys amps.

I have build custom amplifiers for professional and not so professional guitar players for over 20 years, from the world famous to the obscure. This is a real cool piece.

This amp was build for Jason White of Green Day for the American Idiot tour B rig.

For those who have not spent their lives on the road a “B” rig is a smaller version of the main rig and was design for smaller venues/ tv appearances. This amp was used at Gillette stadium for the NFL opener in like 2005 ( I think that’s the year ??) and maybe SNL… cant remember.

So is that a good reason to buy it? Don’t be an idiot. The better reason is how its sounds, its simply fantastic.

It futures an authentic Jose 3 way mod that I blueprinted using an original Jose Modded Marshall which still resides in my stable of amps (NOT FOR SALE).  The same mod as in 100 watt version. Beefed up power supply and cascaded gain stages. In addition this amp has few additional mods to help make the amp sounds big when on small volumes.

As usual the amp is wired in the Blockhead tradition using only finest components, and features the Following:

 50 watts el34 – 4x12ax7

Heyboer power/ output and choke.

.090 aluminum chassis with bead welded seams

NOS amphenol sockets

Phenolic circuit board

My NOS secret mylar caps (circle p) very close to mustards

Radio Spares 1watt film resistors

CTS and Bourns pots

GIANT tomato can filter caps (will blow yer nuts off and weld your zipper closed if you lick em)

Proper grounding for super quiet operation

JJ el34 power tubes

JJ 12ax7 preamps

Baltic Birch cab

IEC power inlet

 *********SPECIAL MDE ARE**********

-resonance bass boost switch (located below master volume)

-Bright switch for the lead gain volume (get that pot set low and the second stage prevolume1 set wide open for cutting mid raunch)

 Other parts brands include Vishay/ cornell/ JJ/ LCR/ Carling/ Mallory……etc

Again this is a true hard rock cornerstone design, and if you don’t know who Jose was and what this amp does do yourself a favor and find out.

 Regards,

Ossie"
