BILL AMBERG BRIEFCASE

New in box:  brown leather briefcase/document wallet by Bill Amberg (London) exclusively for the Tate Modern Gallery.

The briefcase is made from sturdy dark brown leather, with a smooth surface outside, and a leather handle to the top.  It fastens with a tuck-in flap.  The back and base are embellished with silver metal rivets, and the back has an embossed 1920s pattern from the gallery’s archives.  The Bill Amberg logo, adapted for the Tate, is stamped to the back.  Inside, a leather pocket is attached to the rear.

Size: 39.5cm x 28cm x 6.5cm

The box is made from cardboard, covered with textured black paper.  The separate lid is stamped “Bill Amberg London for Tate”.

Condition:  Bought new and unused;  very clean, with evidence of handling, in the form of a few superficial scratches, a few minor indentations, and a small scuff to the back (max 1.5cm x 1.3cm, please see photos).
