What you are buying is a Single Plate of THICK 1mm Standard Temp Trained Nitinol Plate that measures 12" x 2"The transition temperature of this Plate is 115F (45C).  Included will be instructions on how to program this plate into specific shapes as you wish.

Nitinol requires a very precise heat treatment to achieve the shape memory effect, particularly in this range.  This plate has fully and consistently received this treatment.

The steps that our New Hampshire Lab has taken to Train this Nitinol Plate are not trivial.  As such we recommend that most buyers of Nitinol Plate should purchase it in this form that has been Trained.

What remains is a much simpler process that we provide you with instructions for, to program the plate with whatever shape memory positions you require for your project.  Contact EarthHunt if you would like to arrange for our lab to further cut, or Loop Weld, Lap Weld or Butt Weld this plating.  We can do that for a modest additional fee.

The shape transformation happens smoothly and quickly.  Each 12" long length of rare plate is made of a highly specialized form of cold rolled Nickel-Titanium that changes state when exposed to air or water (or any) temperatures over 115 degrees.

We are Kellogg’s Research Labs of New Hampshire, the leading Laboratory in the world specializing in the production, training, and customization of the shape memory alloy, Nitinol.  We make 107 different types of this complex alloy.
