Brompton has been making folding bikes for many years now, everyone folds
down into a small package, little larger than the wheels, in around 10
to 20 seconds. All the componentry has been designed to suit Bromptons
unique fold, keeping lights, cables etc out of harm’s way and, by
folding them in, keeping the chain and gears away from clothing and
luggage. Once folded the bike has no projections or loose parts, and
will carry like a small suitcase.
Excellent frame rigidity ensures that the cyclist's efforts are
efficiently converted into a responsive, quick ride, while a full-sized
wheel base delivers stability at speed. All of this adds up to a quality
ride.
This M6L has the M shaped handlebars that have been used on Bromptons
from the beginning, they offer a more upright riding position, and
excellent control. The M type is an all-rounder in the Brompton range.
As happy in the city as it is on a country lane, and it offers plenty of
room up front for luggage. It is also equipped with the 6 Speed gears.
The Combination of the highly-efficient hub with Brompton's own
derailleur system gives six evenly-spaced gears.
Control with with the two triggers is easy and, with its low
transmission losses, this multi-gear system is the right
choice for touring and for riding hilly areas.
