C64 vs ZX Spectrum Emulator & 26-Pin GPIO Joystick Interface

Have you noticed how most Raspberry Pi game emulator SD cards for sale on eBay offer you free software that you could just go and download for yourself anyway, and then you find that they haven't even done the hard bit so that you can actually play the games with a joystick of all things! Yes you could go and do a few Google searches to have various techies give you circuit diagrams to create a mess of wires emanating from your Raspberry Pi and suggestions on bash scripts to make them work, or even worse play them with a USB gamepad (a travesty), but hopefully this listing will provide you with what you were actually looking for, a simple card and interface for you to just plug in and get on with it like we did in the 80's.

Back in the 1980's every gamer was either in the Commodore 64 camp or the ZX Spectrum camp. Whichever side of the fence you fell on, you can now experience the best of both worlds by transforming your Raspberry Pi into either machine with this SD card containing both the VICE and FUSE emulators. The card is based on the Raspbian distribution and configured with a simple graphical boot menu to select your emulator, the PiSticks joystick interface driver and Samba network directory shares to enable downloaded free games to be easily transferred from a Windows based PC. A quick start guide is provided to explain the basics and get you gaming without the need to be a Linux expert.

For the full 8-bit experience, also included is a dual joystick interface for the Raspberry Pi 26-pin GPIO port. This interface combined with the PiSticks driver on the SD card enables two original Atari / C64 / Kempston type joysticks (not included) to be used to play games in either emulator.

This listing is for:

1 x 8Gb microSD memory card (preloaded with VICE, FUSE & PiSticks)
1 x microSD to SD adaptor
1 x dual joystick GPIO interface (compatible with original Atari/C64 type joysticks)
1 x quick start guide

Note: The dual joystick interface has a 26-pin GPIO socket, this is suitable for the Raspberry Pi Model B. It WILL NOT fit the Model B+, 2, 3 or Zero. Some cases such as the Pibow Coupe have a tight fitting slot around the GPIO port that can conflict with the polarity notch on the connector. In this case the notch can be carefully removed with a craft knife. If you would like the notch to be removed before dispatch please make a special request. The microSD card will be a quality branded Class 10 card (Kingston shown in photos as an example), not a cheapo generic Class 4 card.

THIS LISTING DOES NOT INCLUDE A RASPBERRY PI OR ANY JOYSTICKS!
