Large Bronze Big Seated Enthroned Ganesha - 54cm/22"

Measures – (Length) 54cm/22”

A serene seated Ganesha, from HD Asian Art. The Ganesha is seated on a throne with a halo to the rear, symbolising his divinity. His trunk is raised straight up symbolizing good luck.  The casting is beautiful as you can see in the fine details of the fingers and toes.  Each detail is rendered perfectly.

Ganesha is the elephant headed son of Shiva. He holds his broken tusk in one hand and gathers up sweetmeats with his trunk from a bowl in his other hand. In his early forms in India, Ganesha was associated with fertility. Later he became widely revered as the Remover of Obstacles and more generally as Lord of Beginnings and Lord of Obstacles, patron of arts and sciences and the deity of intellect and wisdom.

This piece would be perfect for any space where you would want people to be at ease. By simply looking at Ganesha the weight of the world lifts off your shoulders and you can relax following this loving God's example.

The sculpture has been given an antique effect, providing the perfect traditional in appearance Ganesha to bring serenity and timeless style to your home, office or sacred space.
