Exposition Internationale des Arts Decoratifs 1925 Bronze Medal - Pierre Turin

Here is an absolutely beautiful art deco medal designed by French medalist Pierre Turin (1891-1968).  This is also a very important medal made to commemorate The International Exposition of Modern Industrial and Decorative Arts held in Paris, France in 1925.  The term "Art Deco" was derived from "Arts Decoratifs" making this medal a very important art deco piece.

This is a bronze medal with an octagon shape with a beautiful, nude woman surrounded by flowers.  The opposite side has the name and date of the expo over a bouquet of flowers.  The medal is signed P. Turin and has the French Mint mark along one of the edges (engraved cornucopia besides the word "CUIVRE").

The medal measures approximately 2-1/3" X 2-1/3"

This medal is in exceptional shape for its age, but does have a few flaws upon close inspection.  There is a few nicks along the edges of the medal.  There is also a few small spots on the face of the medal, but not many and nothing major.  There is some surface wear on the face and back of the medal, but most of it is along the edges and not on the artwork or wording.  I am not the original owner of this medal and do not know the history of the medal.  This means I do not know if this medal has been cleaned or tampered with in its lifetime, but in my opinion it looks like the medal has the original patina and hasn't been tampered with.  Please review the photos provided for this listing to get an idea of the condition of this medal.
