This is the most sought after version:  FIRST RUN TS9 Black label.  Take note of the many resistors.  They are green.  The lesser 80's TS9's selling for $500 won't show the insides.  The seller does  not want to show the brown resistors mixed in which is when the quality started to degrade as the parts ran out. 

Stevie Ray Vaughn used this pedal NOT the 808. And specifically the black label first run TS9.  

I have another TS9 in another auction.  That has the T chip.  The t chip has more bite.  The JRC is a little smoother.  Both sound killer. Here is a video comparing the two:

This pedal is not cheap.  It took me years to find one this good/working perfect.  You can run the risk of buying blown/fixed/modded/cracked solder jointed ones etc but bid with confidence.

It has dings, scrapes, chips etc but it 100% perfect. 

I have three vintage ts9.  So if you want a cheaper one (but still early 80's) let me know.
