The traditional, beloved parka style has been further improved upon; introducing our Ultimate Waterproof Parka.

In keeping with the classic oversized parka shape, we have updated the style by creating the jacket in a technical, 100% cotton Ventile®; a signature Private White V.C. fabric, developed locally and with roots in World War Two and the British Military. This resilient high-performance fabric has stood the test of time are we are proud to use it in our garments today.

Ventile® is a densely woven cotton cloth which, due to the production process, is naturally waterproof. When water hits the material, the cotton fibres stiffen, completely repelling all traces. It is one of our most celebrated fabrics for its technical properties and remarkable durability.

Further enhancing this 100% waterproof jacket, finished with taped internal seams to keep out every trace of water, is its remarkable 20 panel hood, with a removable wool lining, wire peak shaping and a natural fur trim.

This incredible parka also features a detachable ripstop lining, envelope pockets finished with branded ‘made in Manchester’ studs, an adjustable back, real British horn buttons and one of our signature military-grade zips from RIRI, Switzerland.

*Made in Manchester, England*

Named after a British war hero turned garment factory owner, Private White V.C. creates premium clothing based on its namesake's own collection and meticulously constructed from locally sourced materials. Ventile is a densely woven 100 percent cotton fabric developed in England during World War II as a solution to a problem the Royal Air Force was having. After losing shot-down pilots to exposure in the Arctic Ocean, they switched their flight suits to Ventile and found that the survival rate skyrocketed thanks to the fabric's waterproof nature. After decades of high performance, it's still used today for the RAF and NATO air forces and in this parka.
