This was my dad's camera that he bought while serving in the army in Germany in the 1950's. It then went to my Grandad (to be honest I don't think he ever used it) and has been sitting in a drawer in my house since he passed away many years ago now.

As noted there are a couple of minor issues and I have no way of knowing or testing if the camera still works but at shutter speeds of 1/4 second and faster the shutter seems to operate OK. The self timer sticks also but does go down if gentle pressure is placed on it. I'm assuming these could be fixed with a service or even just some light oiling possibly?

The bellows action snaps open very smoothly.

It has 'Made in Germany, US - Zone' on the back along with the Franka logo. It comes with the original Franka case and strap.

I believe this is the 1951 version i.e. the oldest model, according to this list I found recently

1951-1958. 120 film, 4x4 or 6x6cm exposures, folding, viewfinder camera.
1951: flat top housing with DOF table, rewind knob on left
1952: rewind knob on the right side, angled housing
1954: larger finder, higher housing
1958: 4x4cm format
1958: 6x6cm format, rapid-wind lever.

I will unfortunately not accept returns on this as I am unable to test it fully so essentially sold as spares/repairs although I have every reason to believe it will still work if the faults mentioned are fixed.
