WH-9000 TU carbon tubular wheels, designed to meet pro road race criteria. The design concepts of the new generation Dura-Ace 9000 wheels created products specifically engineered with attributes that are required by specific racing disciplines.
The BLADE concept development is Shimano's first fully committed effort to develop an aerodynamically superior wheel; the new rim profile is the result of countless hours in the wind tunnel and real world time trial and triathlete professionals' feedback and validation. The accelerating SPEED concept is an evolution of one of Shimano's original Dura-Ace guiding principles of delivering the most efficient power transfer systems in the racing world, by constructing ultra-lightweight, stiff and durable rims.

- Lightweight tubular full carbon 35mm deep 20.8mm wide rim for improved aerodynamics and increased rigidity for sprinters and TT specialists
- 21 rear and 16 front stainless steel butted and bladed straight pull spokes for optimal balance and rigidity (OPTBAL)
- Elbow-less spokes make for a strong yet compliant wheel
- High lateral rigidity is produced with a 3mm offset asymmetric rear rim and wide flange spacing
- Freehub uses quick pawl engagement every 10 degrees
- Labyrinth double-contact sealing effectively shuts out water and dirt
- Alloy cone with integrated steel Borozon treated bearing races - super mirror finish reduces friction
- Quick and easy to maintain digital click bearing adjustment
- Cold forged, machined aluminium hub shell and oversized 7075 alloy axle combined with a titanium Freehub body keep the wheel weight to a minimum
