SUMMARY: Offering a gorgeous Nakamichi TA-2A Vintage Receiver, full of quality components with 50 WPC Discrete Output Transistors, Quartz FM Tuner, turntable input, serviced ready for plug and play.
UNIQUE NAKAMICHI CIRCUITRY: Nakamichi TA-2A high definition tuner-integrated amplifier, with stasis circuitry from the master designer, Nelson Pass. This top of the line receiver from Nakamichi, could not be touched by the competition, from the mid 80's to early 90's; with stasis circuitry/technology from designer Nelson Pass, this delivers the most incredible across the range sounds from an integrated unit. In the power amplifier section, the extraordinary STASIS circuit topology combined with high current capability results in ample output power and excellent speaker drive characteristics. The preamplifier features Nakamichi's innovative Isolated Ground principle for complete freedom from interference between various circuit stages. The high-precision PLL synthesizer tuner with 10 AM/FM presets boasts solid performance and lets you enjoy broadcasts in impeccable quality.

SERVICING: All interior and exterior surface have been cleaned (there was only light dust on interior). All mechanical switches and shafts have been cleaned and lubed and are silky smooth. We double checked all lights. Capacitors check out within manufacture specs. No hiss, hums or static at all. Very Clean inside and out. All inputs tested and work very smoothly.
PERFORMANCE: Connected to a pair of Klipsch Large Advent speakers, this receiver sounds amazing with exquisite warm acoustics (many know how power hungry these Advents are) - great Bass with Mid’s and Hi’s. Operated for 8 hours.
COMPARISON: Side by side with a Marantz 2245 this Nak actually had more reserve headroom as well as giving a slight bit more detail.
PHONO STAGE: We played Beatles Abbey Road album and it sounded excellent, with this very low noise input phono stage.
FM: 4-Gang FM Tuner is accurate an has a wide frequency response - pulls in stations well
COSMETICS: In Very Clean condition. FRONTPLATE: Display, buttons and switches are in great shape, with a few light scratches/nicks. WALNUT COVER: Very clean with a few light chips.
REMOTE: Remote NOT included.
