Description

This is a beautiful mantel that was salvaged from a Philadelphia Victorian Home.

It is veneered in mahogany and dates to the 1930's or 1940's.

The breast and legs have ornate designs of banded branches with leaves.

There is faux marble around the firebox.

It measures 52.5 inches wide, 44.5 tall and 11.5 deep.

The opening is 30 by 30.

Overall, it is in good condition.  There are misc. scratches and dings as it is antique.  The veneer is lifting and chipped off in places. It could use a good cleaning. Please look at the pictures carefully.

Terms of Sale

I accept returns only if my description is inaccurate. For example, if I pull an item from a building that I believe to be original to the house and it is later discovered to be a reproduction, or if I enter an incorrect measurement, I will allow the buyer to return the item. I describe all my items as accurately as possible with descriptions and often pictures of any damage. I try to measure within 1/8 of an inch.

About Us

My salvage business was born of necessity in 1993 when I started restoring an old Victorian home that had seen better days. I needed doors, staircase parts, fireplace mantles and more, so I contacted the owners of a few local buildings that were scheduled for demolition. I found and purchased all of the things that I needed for my project and lots of extra treasures which I eventually resold. 17 years later this is still my full time job! I salvage whatever I can think can be reused as long as there is room in my warehouse. The warehouse is open for treasure hunting anytime by appointment. Just contact me to schedule a day and time! Thanks for visiting.  Steve and Michelle
