A stunning and exceptionally rare example of the Gio Ponti La Pavoni Modello 54 2 Group Espresso Machine.

This stunning machine was Designed by Gio Ponti & Alberto Rosselli in 1954 and is one of the special and official pieces that came out of Studio Ponti. It is without doubt one of the Espresso machine design icons of the 20th Century that was clearly ahead of its time.

This machine is museum quality, it is complete and has been in my collection for over 10 years. The panels and body are straight and clean, with their original chrome, and the machine has a lovely original patina. Please note that it is a difficult machine to photograph because of the flat chrome panels, and what you are seeing on the panels is the actual reflection of the red brick walls in the studio space where it has been photographed. The original chrome panels are in fact a high gloss chrome and mirror quality. The rest of the machine has not been detailed or polished, and were left as found, but will polish up just as well.

I have not tried to run it, but it is again complete and all there and untouched, and it would be a relatively easy service to make it fully operational. I do have a technician that services the other machines in my collection that are used and can provide a quotation.

Please email me with any questions and more photos can be provided upon request. International Shipping and packaging is not a problem and can also be quoted upon request.

Other vintage Espresso machines from my collection will also be offered for sale over the comings weeks.
