1. Is the phone really unlocked? 

ANSWER: The phone I'm selling is an AT&T GoPhone and I will be sending the unlock code and the unlocking instruction after you make the purchase.  The unlock code comes from ATT, an official carrier, which is the only legal mean to unlock the phone in the US currently.  The instruction is very simple and straight forward, everyone can unlock using this instruction.

Carrier provided unlock code will only be provided when the buyer receives the phone.  I will not pre-unlock the phone as doing so would mean I would have to open the packaging (see Q & A 3 for other option).

No branded phone sold in the US comes preunlocked in the package; the only preunlocked phones sold anywhere in the US is a factory unlocked phone which would not have any carrier branding and is only sold by the manufacturer. 

So yes the phone will be unlocked if you buy this listing. Unlocked meaning you can use it with any GSM carriers worldwide.


2. Can I use the phone anywhere in the world after unlocking?

ANSWER: Yes. This device is Carrier-unlocked and may be used with any GSM carrier that uses a frequency or band that this device supports.  This device's frequencies can be found in the product Specifications under Network. Your carrier's available frequencies may be found in the links below. 


3) Do you offer unlock service for phones? cost? 

ANSWER: Yes, I can provide the service to unlock the phone before the shipment if you are not comfortable to do the unlock process. I will charge extra $3 for the service. Please let me know if you want me to unlock the phone after purchasing. In this case, the packaging will be opened in order to do unlock.

A Few Tips for Using the Phone: 


If you are planning to use this phone with ATT prepaid, just activate the account, that's it!

If you are a current customer of other GSM carriers, such as T-mobile, MetroPCS, LycaMobile, etc.,  you just need to insert your current sim card, and start using it right away after unlock. You even don't need to tell your carrier that you have switched the phone.  

If you SIM card is regular sized, you need to change the SIM card to nano SIM card for the phone. To do this, just go to any your carrier's local stores, tell them that you are their customer and would like to change your regular SIM card to nano SIM card for your phone. They would be very glad to do it for you free or for a small fee.
