Matchbox G-5 Fire Station Gift Set. Complete. RARE Transitional (MF-1) BOX with inner card packing and clear bag. With Original and correct boxed three vehicles.

This superb example of the Matchbox G-5 Gift Set, featuring the red-roofed Fire Station and three boxed emergency vehicles, comes in the rare transitional all-card large blue/yellow box formerly used for just the Fire Station (MF-1), but with added, specially-printed white and black sticker tape marking this as 'Gift Set G-5'. The outer Blue/Yellow illustrated card box is in Excellent original condition. Slight signs of age wear to corners, and some light creasing on some surfaces, but no tears and nothing missing. Colours still very vibrant.

This example is simply the most complete we have ever handled. The Fire Station model is in MINT condition, and contained in a clear plastic original bag, together with a large protective card section and rubber band to protect the three correct boxed emergency vehicles, which are all in MINT or very near-MINT original condition in MINT to near-MINT original boxes. Many collectors have been waiting a long time for an example as good as this!

The Gift Set: containing  MF1 plastic Fire Station - red roof, red fire station labels - MINT original condition with all stickers, in an Excellent & complete detailed colour picture box with correct colour illustration. The box has white tape over-labels stating "Gift Set G5 contains MBS 29, 54, 59 & MF-1".  

Protected by a triangular card folded section are the correct following individually boxed models:

  No.29 Fire Pumper "Denver" - Near MINT condition (slightest box rubs to raised edges on rear section sides),  No.54 White Cadillac Ambulance with red cross decals - MINT in very near-MINT box, and No.59 Ford Galaxie Fire Chief car in gloss Red, with decals and blue roof light - Mint in MINT box apart from slight rub to one door transfer (see photos).
