Maruni Japan Joive Tanguin Pitcher

This lovely wildflower and butterfly design pitcher is

from Maruni Japan. It is white porcelanious stoneware,

also known as porcelain satsuma ware.

It measures 6.5”tall x 7.5”wide (handle to spout)

x 4.5” deep, base is 3.75”diameter.

Original made by Maruni & Co. until 1938. Exact age unknown.

My opinion is that this is a resurrected pattern made 80-90's.

It has Maruni Japan stamped and Japan embossed on bottom.

Pre-owned, like new condition, no chips, cracks or crazing.

Included with the pitcher is a lid, found with it.

I do not believe it to part on pitcher, but maybe to a

tea canister or sugar bowl in matching pattern.
