Leyland DAF Factory Service Workbook as used by the Leyland DAF dealership service department to make repairs to your Electrical Systems.

This Service Workbook covers the Electrical Systems and Wiring Diagrams as fitted to Leyland DAF 200, 300 and 400 series vehicles, nothing else.

It is primarily designed to assist skilled technicians in the efficient diagnosis of electrical problems, but can also be used as a reference workbook for training purposes.

This manual is A4 full size comb bound, and delivered in a professional book mailing box, First and Second class postage is available for this item.

Suitable for all Leyland Daf models 1994 to 1995.

This Service Workbook details the Electrical Wiring Circuits up to the last of the 400 series with 2.5 Peugeot EN/ET engines AND the earlier 300 series BN52 engines.

(reference is made to all 200 300 400 models).

The electrics manual for the 1987 to 1992 and all later year LDV models are listed separately on this website and also available from stock.

It is a comprehensive and very detailed document primarily designed to assist skilled LDV technicians in the efficient fault finding and repair of LDV electrical vehicle wiring systems.

It provides not only detailed circuit diagrams for each model and type, but also diagrams and illustrations to assist with the location of harnesses and connectors on each vehicle.

There are three types of diagram in this manual:

Harness routing.  

  1. Circuit diagrams.  
  2. Vehicle wiring diagrams. 

• Harness routing illustrations show the main harness runs in each model, together with other useful information including quick and easy relay identification.

• Wiring Circuit Diagrams are individual diagrams, one per page for each electrical function, and sub-divided to cater for different model types.

They show components and their internal functions, wiring and colour codes, cable splices, connectors and numbering, and interconnecting related pages.

To further simplify the diagrams, circuit feeds start from the relevant fuse or switch, and the feeds are found by referring to the relevant page numbers. This is simplicity itself!

The routing of individual earth cables is on separate diagrams to display the route from component to final earth point.

• Vehicle wiring circuit diagrams in detail have a whole page each at the rear of the manual and show all the wiring circuits in the electrical systems for all components, even the knock sensor, crankshaft sensor etc etc.

The harness sections and connections are actually named and numbered, making identification and circuit wire tracing really easy as compared to other wiring diagram manuals.

There is an extensive ‘key to circuit diagrams’ page, making the explanation of electrical diagrams very straightforward and easy to understand, even for me!

Further to this, a very descriptive section covers:

• All the interior lamps for van, crewbus, minibus etc.
• Tachograph circuit, which is handy if you need to by-pass it!

There’s even a circuit page section for extra high level front lamps, extra rear lamps and roof beacons.

• Alarm system wiring circuits (where fitted).
• Air suspension (where fitted).

You really have to see this detailed circuit information to believe it; you definitely don’t get any better than this.

Even the glow plug control circuit is crystal clear; even I can understand how it works now that I can see it laid out like this.

There are of course all the usual items such as indicators, wiper system circuit diagrams and heater motor etc, but I would be here for days explaining everything, in fact, there’s even a circuit here for a roof mounted fan!

There is also a section detailing the Tipper model circuits, such as the tipper body interlock relay connected to the handbrake switch etc, really interesting stuff! Other models are also covered. 

‘Special Vehicle Orders’ (SVO), such as ambulances that may have non-standard items fitted may not be fully covered by this or any other manual.
