We have been cautiously tested more than 30 different kinds of our vinyl, from 3M 1080 series, Avery Dennison, Italian APA, Oracal to our own SopiGuard vinyls, we DID NOT find any damage done to Switch surface paint when vinyl peeled off from the device after at least installed 3 days. We have also tested both standard GREY and the NEON version Joy-Con, no damage on both version.
If you want to wrap Switch on your own, please make sure you avoid 3M Di Noc series vinyl.
Please note that you will need to use hair dryer or heat gun during the installation, especially on all the corners of side panels. Vinyl skins will not stay firmly and start to peel off around the edges if you do not use heat treatment. This has been confirmed from our device.
