Description
Breitling 7656 Co Pilot Top Time, stainless steel case is in excellent condition with original bevels still in tact, manual wind caliber 7736 movement, 12 hour chronograph, black dial with silver sub dials gives the watch a great "Panda" look, luminous material on the dial is very clean and even, bi directional rotating bezel, acrylic crystal, solid case back, size 42.5mm, thickness 15mm, Excellent Condition with European Watch Co pouch and 6 month warranty.
This is a vintage c. 1970 stainless steel Breitling Co Pilot Top Time 7656. It has a cordovan leather strap with a stainless steel Breitling tang buckle, and an acrylic crystal. It has round chronograph push butttons, a screw-down winding crown, and a screw-down solid case back engraved with "BREITLING – WATER RESISTANT – SHOCK RESISTANT – ANTIMAGNETIC – STAINLESS STEEL – SWISS MADE – 7656," and a serial number. The inside of the anti- magnetic case back is engraved "BREITLING WATCH LTD." The 42.5mm solid three-body case, straight angled lugs, and flat black bi-directional rotating bezel with 12-hour Arabic markers and a luminous triangle at 12 o'clock, are polished/brushed. The "Panda" dial is black with recessed silver subsidiary dials, luminous baton and dot hour indices, steel baton hands with luminous inserts, and a center sweep chronograph hand. It has a minute/one-fifth second scale, and around the perimeter is a tachymeter ring to 1000 UPH. There is a subsidiary small running seconds register at 9 o'clock, a 12-hour totalizer at 6 o'clock, and there is a 30-minute chronograph totalizer at the 3 o'clock position. It has a 45-hour power reserve at full wind, and the 15mm thick case, dial, and movement are all signed.

This Breitling Co Pilot Top Time 7656 has a mechanical manual winding Valjoux caliber 7736 movement. This was a manual wind caliber that measured up to 12 hours, rhodium plated, had 17 jewels, a shock absorber device, and a straight–line lever escapement. It includes a monometallic anti-magnetic balance, a self-compensating flat balance spring, and a micrometer regulator. The mechanism oscillates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz).
