35mm Classic HFC Rewinds With Arm Brake and rubber spacers for 16mm Reels.
These are the Large - Professional size with 9.5 inches from Shaft to Bench. They will take up to a 19 inch reel. I oiled the bearings & greased the gears. You can also use 16mm film on these with the Rubber spacers that are included. Just make sure the reel is next to the rewind and the spacers on the outside. These use the arm brake to control rewind instead of the lighter weight tension screws.
Shipped usually with handles and/or reel shafts removed. But I do include the proper size Hex Wrench to re-attach the reel shaft. International Shipping available. The reels are shown to demonstrate the size and the spacers - The reels are not included in this sale.
And a little History. HFC had an extensive Machine Shop north of Hollywood - The size of a COSTCO Store. As a pioneer in the Film Industry they manufactured all of their own equipment - and much of their competitors'. They were a brand of choice for both Movie Theaters and the Hollywood Studios. They hold up well. But the company didn't hold up. It was the last Film Oriented Shop to close - about 3 years ago. HFC is considered heavier duty than the Moviola Rewinds -- although both are designed for the long run.
P.S. I have listed elsewhere on eBay one of the hard to find Tightwind Kits for HFC Rewinds. A large column mounts to the reel side of the rewind (Most are predrilled with 2 holes one above the spindle and one below.) A heavy roller for both 35mm and 16mm film makes sure the wind is tight but lifts out of the way held by a side catch.. A core adapter is included. I also have a second Column - if you need it - but no roller or core adapter. It would add $35 plus shipping to the cost and allow you to share the tight wind head and core adapter with a second set of rewinds.
