Lovely Aladdin Cave of Wonders playset! This is a very rare playset made by Mattell in 1992 when the film first came out. It is super hard to find now and very rare! It is used and pretty old now and does have signs of play like paint rubs and scuffs from play. There is also a crack on the bottom which doesn't effect play, but wanted to point it out anyway. The carpet has one tassel snapped off.This set includes:
- Cave of Wonders, complete with two red jewel stones and a set of boulders! The cave measures approx 9" tall and is in the shape of a tiger's head. The cave has doors in it's mouth which open when you press the button to the left of it. Turn it round and on the back you can open out two flaps which have treasure moulded onto them! There is a pannel on one of these flaps which can be secured shut by the lamp, or released to show a picture of Genie! There is a golden monkey statue on the right of the cave holding his hands up. Put the red jewel in his hands, and push his arms down to lock the suspended shelf at the top of the set. Fill the shelf with rocks. When Aladdin comes into the cave of wonders, he tries to take the red jewel out of the statue's hands (push down on the monkeys arms) and the shelf drops showering Aladdin in rocks!!
The cave originally was sold with no figures at all, so i have added a lovely selection of figures to play with it. The figures are all in a good used condition with the usual paint rubs/scuffs from play. These include: - A magic carpet which measures approx 5.5" long. It is missing a tassel but otherwise good used with usual paint rubs.scuffs etc. Pull it back and it moves forward on its own.
- Rajah the tiger. Has articulated legs. Measures approx 5" long. Good used with usual paint rubs.scuffs etc.
- Jasmine. Measures approx 4.75" tall. She has articulated arms and legs. She is in a good used with usual paint rubs.scuffs etc.
- Aladdin. Measures approx 5" tall. He has articulated arms and legs and head moves and can rotate at the waist (but squeaks a bit).
- Genie. Measures approx 5.5" tall. Articulated arms and waist and head moves. He is a bit grubby, otherwise good used with usual paint rubs/scuffs etc.
- Jafar. Measures approx 4.75" tall. He is made of a different sort of plastic to the others, and he has a fabric cape. Press the button on his foot and his arms ping up to stretch out his cloak. Good used with usual paint rubs.scuffs etc.
- Sultan. Measures approx 2.5" tall. Is very grubby and has lots of paint rubs and scuffs from play. He is completely fixed in place.
- Abu the monkey. Measures approx 2" tall. In a good used condition with usual paint rubs/scuffs from play. He is completely fixed in place with his arms and legs out.
- Iago is just over 2" tall and is fixed in place. Good used condition with usual paint rubs and scuffs.
- Lamp. Measures approx 0.75" tall - take note it's very small so be aware if giving to young children.
