Sonora Sunrise Slab

 Here we have a superb slab of Sonora Sunrise showing the best that this material has to offer. A nice mix of Reddish Orange Cuprite & Chrysocolla & Black Tenorite veining will get you some killer cabs for your custom jewelry or it could be face polished for a very nice display piece. The photos show the piece wet which should approximate the color when polished.

Note: there is a small divet along the flat edge of the slab that goes in about 1/4"/.63cm, but shouldn't affect the cab yield much. It can be seen in the first photo as the lighter area about 1/3 up from the bottom.

This piece weighs 4.7 ounces/133 grams and is about 4 7/8"/12.4cm x 2 1/2"/6.3cm at the longest points and is about 1/4"/.63cm thick. This material is no longer being mined, at least of this quality, so get it while you can. This is old stock material from 2007/2008.

I reduced the price on this slab 25% although part of it could be slabbed on the side for some nice long cabs as well since it has almost perfect separation of colors along the middle of the slab.


As with any lapidary material there may be hidden cracks/fissures due to the mining process.
